How would you like to golf through the city of Singapore? Too hot? Not good with a five iron? What if I said you could see the entire city in an air conditioned room and enjoy a round of golf at the same time?
That’s what they offer at Lilliput Indoor Mini Golf, a miniature golf course located inside the Big Splash amusement park complex. You can literally golf through all of the major attractions and landmarks of Singapore without ever breaking a sweat! Sweet!
The 10k square foot course includes 18 holes, each with scale models that are specially designed to resemble one of Singapore’s famous spots. Changi Airport, the Turf Club, the Esplanade and Theatres on the Bay, Singapore Zoo, Boat Quay, Sentosa Island, the Jurong Bird Park and lots of others are all part of the line up of sights you’ll get a glimpse of at Lilliput Mini Golf.
The attraction is really more than just a mini golf course, too, because the display at each hole includes light shows, sound effects and a host of graphics that add to the authenticity of the models. Lilliput is a great place to go and cool off from the intense Singapore heat, and it’s also a wonderful tourist attraction where visitors can get a quick look at many of the sights on offer.
Lilliput Mini Golf is open everyday except Mondays, from 10 am – 8 pm. An 18-hole round costs $18SGD (that works out to just $1 a hole!), and they also offer discounts for an entire family. Allow about an hour and a half to get through the entire golf course, and make your plans to get lunch or sodas in their comfy lounge afterwards.
You can get to Lilliput Mini Golf via several MRT stations, but you’ll have to catch a bus to reach the Big Splash Centre.
Paya Lebar Station + Bus 135 or 76.
Bedok Station + Bus 31,197, or 401.
